This perfume was sent to us to check out, and we were happy to give it proper time. L’Ateliero is not new to us. We’ve known this house for many years and we’ve already worn two of their perfumes before. So this wasn’t a first impression with no context. We had a reference point.

This release is called Alpha • Omega, and it’s presented as their latest creation.

First look: looks fresh, smells… not so much

The presentation is simple and clean. The colors are nice, calm, and elegant. Blue bottle, golden cap. If you’ve been around perfumes long enough, your brain immediately goes: fresh, clean, maybe airy.

But that’s just habit. A visual shortcut we’ve all learned over time.

Because once you spray it, you quickly realize this is not a fresh perfume at all.

What the brand says

The brand presents Alpha • Omega as something original and unique, with very strong performance. It comes as an extrait de parfum, 50 ml, priced at 129 €, which is honestly very reasonable if you compare it to other perfumes in this category and concentration.

According to the brand, the notes are:

  • Top: clove, bergamot, saffron, pepper, anise
  • Middle: jasmine, geranium, ylang-ylang
  • Base: vanilla, musk, woods, amber, labdanum

We’ll keep this list here for reference, but what matters more is how it actually behaves.

Wearing Alpha • Omega

Let’s not go around it: this perfume is a beast.

It lasts. And it lasts a lot. Long hours on skin, strong presence, clear projection. If performance is something you care about, this one delivers without excuses.

It feels warm and spicy, full-bodied, and confident. Because of that, we see it working best on colder days. Autumn and winter make a lot of sense here. On warm days, it can easily feel too much.

In terms of gender, it’s clearly very unisex. Easy to share, easy to wear by anyone who enjoys this style.

And yes, it’s a crowd pleaser. There’s no doubt about it. It’s the kind of scent people notice quickly and react to.

About originality (let’s be honest)

Now for the important part.

Right after the first spray, we were immediately reminded of a perfume we already have in our collection and love very much. That perfume is Casamorati 1888.

We are not saying Alpha • Omega is a direct clone. But when you spend enough time with perfumes and your nose gets trained, some similarities are impossible to miss.

We honestly believe that if you sprayed both on paper or skin, most people wouldn’t be able to tell them apart — except for the opening. Alpha • Omega opens brighter and a bit sharper, while 1888 feels slightly smoother from the start.

And here’s the good news.

With today’s prices, Alpha • Omega gives you that warm, spicy niche style for a fraction of the cost. If you love this type of perfume and don’t want to spend a lot more, this becomes a very easy option to consider.

Final thoughts

Alpha • Omega does exactly what it promises. Strong performance, warm and spicy character, easy to like, easy to notice. It doesn’t try to be strange or difficult. It aims to work — and it does.

If you already love perfumes like Casamorati 1888, this one will feel very familiar, and that’s not a bad thing at all.

That’s our take.

If you have questions, thoughts, or you’ve worn Alpha • Omega yourself, feel free to leave a comment below. We’re always curious to hear how others experience the same scent.

Living fully, lightly scented.
