Let’s talk about Sirius, one of the latest releases from L’Arc Parfums.
Today we wanted to share our honest thoughts as perfume enthusiasts with this release. We also had the chance to create some visual content for Sirius in collaboration with the brand, but rest assured, our opinions here are entirely our own.
First Impressions: The Bottle
Before we get into the scent, let’s take a moment to appreciate the bottle. L’Arc Parfums is known for their clean, minimalistic design, and Sirius is no exception. The packaging is elegant, the materials are high-quality, and the attention to detail is impeccable. As people who also produce visuals with fragrances, we can’t help but admire how photogenic this bottle is. It’s simple and luxurious.
The Scent of Sirius
When we first sprayed Sirius on a blotter, the opening was fruity and floral, with an interesting twist that immediately felt different. While the official notes list pineapple, ginger extract, and lemon, what stood out to us was more of a violet tone than the ginger.
The pineapple note in Sirius often sparks comparisons to Creed Aventus, but honestly, that feels like an oversimplification. Pineapple is a common note in many fragrances, and Sirius takes it in a completely new direction.
As the fragrance changes, it becomes even fruitier, with the lemon shifting from a fresh juice-like vibe to a dry, zesty undertone. This transition adds a unique edge to the composition, making it feel bright and refined.
The Dry-Down: Where Things Get Interesting
The base of Sirius is where the perfume takes a rather drastic turn. The fruity, floral, and zesty elements settle down, making way for a blend that feels metallic and leathery at the same time which feels so interesting and unique. What’s fascinating is that the pineapple note lingers throughout, adding a subtle sweetness to this fascinating base.
We were surprised to find no saffron listed in the official notes because there’s a spicy suede-like quality in Sirius that we could easily attribute to saffron. It’s a complex, layered dry-down that keeps you intrigued until the very end. And when we say “intrigued” we really mean it.

A Versatile Year-Round Fragrance
One of the best things about Sirius is how versatile it is. It’s suitable for everyone, at any time, and in any setting. No matter if it’s a hot summer day or a chilly winter evening, Sirius adapts beautifully. It’s the kind of fragrance that feels like it’s a part of you—always present but never overwhelming.
Performance
Performance-wise, Sirius doesn’t disappoint. We got a solid 8 hours of wear, and even after that, the scent lingered faintly on our clothes. It has just the right amount of projection to be noticeable without being overpowering, making it perfect for daily wear or special occasions.
Final Thoughts
Sirius by L’Arc Parfums is a unique take on fruity, floral, and leathery compositions, crafted skillfully by Julien Rasquinet. It’s bright and refreshing in the opening, with an unexpected transition into a spicy, leathery dry-down that feels both modern and original.
