Mystikum Fragrances and their Art Deco-inspired perfumes that blend 1920s glamour, mysticism, and contemporary artistry has been one of the greatest discoveries of this year so far.
Now, the brand extends that same greatness into home fragrances with two beautifully crafted scented candles: The Empress’ Kiss and The Geisha’s Secret Garden.
These are sculptures that translate Mystikum’s signature perfume DNA into glowing, atmospheric experiences. Perfect for fragrance lovers who want their spaces in the same moods their favorite scents smells on skin.

Unboxing and First Impressions:
Mystikum’s candles arrive in sleek, minimalist packaging that feels like an extension of their perfume bottles. Think refined glass jars with Art Deco-inspired labels. At around 210ml (with an estimated 50 hours of burn time according to the brand), they’re compact but substantial enough for daily use or gifting.
The vessels are designed for longevity: thick glass to retain heat and promote even burning, paired with what appears to be high-quality cotton wicks for a clean, steady flame.
The package feels premium in hand. The sleeves are smooth and the branding is tasteful. Just see the colours of each sleeve. Gorgeous tones of red and green. The boxes are elegant, minimal, and with their art deco style graphics. Once you open the whole thing, you will be greeted with the incredible aromas of each candle. These are amazing!

Let’s talk about smells
The Empress’ Kiss
Inspired by one of Mystikum’s bestselling perfume, and honestly, this candle smells incredible. We haven’t actually sniffed the original perfume, so we’re just going to assume if this is anything close, that fragrance must be seriously fascinating.
Scent Profile Breakdown
- Top notes: Saffron, Geranium, Davana, Bergamot and Cardamom
- Heart notes: Jasmine, Clove, Rose, Orange Blossom
- Base notes: Vanilla, Sandal, Oud, Musk, Moss, Tonka, Amber, Cedar Wood
The throw is solid medium to strong. It fills a medium-sized room nicely right away. Starts with this spicy and bright vibe when you first light it, then changes into something warmer and richer as it burns. Feels exactly how we imagine a moody 1920s hotel bar. Dim lights, velvet seats, that kind of vibe.
Burn Performance and Practical Notes
Wick trims super easy, barely any soot. Wax melts nice and even with almost no tunneling if you keep sessions to 2–4 hours. Quick safety note: always trim to about 0.5 cm and set it on something heat-safe.
We had a blast shooting photos of these candles. The smell of The Empress’ Kiss is straight-up addictive and super sensual. We’re tagging this one as the romantic candle, hands down. Perfect for special nights or just turning a regular evening into something memorable.
Second burn we noticed a proper gourmand side coming through which makes it even better. Great for those chilly autumn or winter nights when you just want to be cozy at home.
We tested it in our studio living room (pretty big open space) and the scent filled the whole place with ease!

The Geisha’s Secret Garden
In contrast, The Geisha’s Secret Garden draws from Mystikum’s green-floral creation, which the voices in the niche perfume streets speak greatly about!
Scent Profile Breakdown
- Top notes: Galbanum, Green Notes, Fruit Notes, Aldehydes
- Heart notes: Hyacinth, Rose, Geranium and Narcissus
- Base notes: Vetiver, Patchouli, Moss, and Salty Accords
This one feels way softer and more intimate than the other. The scent comes across brighter and cleaner. Perfect for smaller rooms or those quiet moments when you just want to chill deep. It starts off subtle, almost shy, then slowly opens up into this calm, meditative green-floral cloud that hangs in the air.
The vibe? Picture yourself standing (or lying) in a gorgeous spring garden any time of day, windows open, fresh breeze carrying all that green. Yeah, it’s honestly that spot-on 🙂
Burn Performance and Practical Notes
Burns just as clean as its sibling. Nice even melt, steady flame, no drama. The wax really holds onto those green notes without losing them.
We tried it in our master bedroom and it legit turned the whole space into an indoor garden escape. Second burn it got bolder. The scent filled the room properly and even drifted out into the corridor. Super soothing, but strong enough when it wants to be. We’re calling it: this is a proper year-round relax-and-meditate candle.

Why These Candles Fit Perfectly in a Niche Fragrance Collection
For perfume enthusiasts, Mystikum’s candles offer the rare joy of extending a brand’s olfactory storytelling beyond the skin. The Empress’ Kiss pairs beautifully with oriental leaning fragrances for cozy evenings, while The Geisha’s Secret Garden enhances green scents during quiet mornings or general relaxation.
At around €69 each, they deliver artisanal quality, outstanding ingredients, thoughtful composition, and that unmistakable Mystikum mysticism. Making them a worthwhile addition for people that love exclusivity and craftsmanship.
Our Final Veredict
When it comes to price, it will be a subjective topic, but we have a thing for candles and we have tried some other types that were pricier and delivered half of what we are getting here. But that of course is our modest opinion.
The favourites? Maruša loves them both while Daniel leans more towards The Geisha’s Secret Garden rather 🙂
Have you tried Mystikum’s candles yet? Which one calls to you more? The romanticism from The Empress’ Kiss or the deep relaxation from The Geisha’s Secret Garden?
