1828: AN EVERYDAY ADVENTURE IN A BOTTLE

Hey, it’s us again, here to share another one of our favorite scents! This time, we’re talking about 1828 from Histoires de Parfums, a fragrance that feels like a passport to a quest without ever leaving your everyday life.

So, there we were, sitting under a beach umbrella, trying to put into words what makes 1828 so special. It’s not exactly “sailing vast seas with spice-filled treasure chests,” as the brand suggests, but it does have this undeniable sense of exploration. Honestly, we think Jules Verne would’ve approved—though for us, it’s more Indiana Jones than captain of a ship.

Picture this: rough linen shirt, sleeves rolled up, olive green and sand tones blending with the jungle backdrop. You’re climbing rocks, dodging vines, and navigating caves. That’s what 1828 smells like. A spritz of this, and suddenly you’re part of a story where the air is fresh, the woods are deep, and the adventure feels endless.

It’s not the fanciest perfume we own, but it’s one of the most necessary. Over time, We’ve gone from just liking it to not imagining our collection without it. It’s that kind of scent—the one you find yourself reaching for over and over again.

We have gone through TWO full bottles and we can see a third one already arising in the horizon.

Here’s why: it opens with bright, juicy citruses that are soon joined by the cool, clean sharpness of eucalyptus. Then, pine needles take over, grounding everything with their green, resinous aroma. Add a little spicy kick, some incense, and a touch of woodsy vetiver, and you’ve got something unique yet totally wearable. It’s fresh, adventurous, and endlessly versatile.
